Dental emergencies can happen without warning and require prompt care. Emergency dentistry provides fast, reliable treatment to relieve pain, address injury, and help restore your smile when it matters most.

Emergency Dental Care in Daphne, AL

When dental pain or injury strikes, getting help quickly matters. Same-day dentist appointments are available during our emergency dental clinic hours (Monday through Thursday from 7:50 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), to provide fast relief and prevent further complications. We welcome patients of all ages, including those needing emergency pediatric dental care, and care is available even if you are looking for an emergency dentist without insurance. Members of our adult wellness membership plan receive 20% off all emergency exams.

If an emergency occurs after hours, patients should call the office and follow the prompts to reach the on-call doctor. Many urgent issues can be managed with prescriptions, but when needed, the on-call doctor will meet patients at the office for emergency treatment. Our goal is to make emergency care as accessible, responsive, and stress-free as possible when you need it most.

  • What is considered a dental emergency?

A dental emergency includes severe tooth pain, swelling, bleeding, infections, broken or knocked-out teeth, and injuries to the mouth or jaw. Any dental issue causing significant pain or risking permanent damage should be evaluated promptly. Seeking emergency care helps prevent complications and increases the chance of saving the affected tooth.

  • Should I go to the emergency room or an emergency dentist for dental pain?

Most dental emergencies, such as toothaches, infections, broken teeth, or swelling, are best treated by an emergency dentist rather than a hospital emergency room. Dentists are equipped to address the underlying dental issue and provide targeted treatment. The emergency room is typically recommended only for severe trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, or swelling that affects breathing.

  • What should I do if I have a knocked-out tooth?

If a tooth is knocked out, act quickly and handle it by the crown, not the root. Rinse it gently with water if dirty, but do not scrub it. If possible, place the tooth back into the socket or store it in milk or saliva. Seek emergency dental care immediately, as prompt treatment improves the chance of saving the tooth.

Are you having a dental emergency?

If you are experiencing a dental emergency, call our office as soon as possible for a same-day appointment. For emergencies occurring outside of our emergency clinic hours, follow the prompts to reach our on-call doctor.
